MIMOSA DE PARIS (FORSYTHIA)

Mimosa de Paris Forsythia originates in an encounter with early spring at the Jardin des Plantes in Paris. Photographed against a grey, subdued day, the forsythia became striking precisely because of its contrast with the surrounding atmosphere. Its unexpected intensity of yellow suggested a moment of renewal—a small but powerful interruption of winter that signals the arrival of a new season.

Rather than reproducing the plant literally, JCHADIMA transforms the observed structure of the forsythia into an abstract composition of flowing contours, organic shapes, layered surfaces, and saturated colour. The vertical and curving forms retain a connection to branches and emerging growth, yet their botanical identity is gradually reduced as they become elements within a more graphic and spatially ambiguous composition.

The dominant yellow and green tones create a sense of luminosity and vitality, while warmer ochre and brown passages introduce depth and contrast. Pale, almost white contours trace the edges of the forms, emphasizing their sculptural quality and directing the eye through the composition. The resulting colour relationships suggest both the physical presence of the plant and the heightened perception of encountering it against a grey urban landscape.

The painting is grounded in photography, but the photographic observation serves only as the point of departure. JCHADIMA extracts line, form, shape, colour, and texture from the original encounter and reorganizes them through painting. In this process, observation becomes transformation: the specific plant becomes a visual language of rhythm, movement, light, and organic geometry.

The simplified forms also create a tension between recognition and abstraction. The viewer may sense branches, leaves, and flowering structures within the composition, but these references remain deliberately unresolved. Nature is present not as botanical description but as an underlying structure from which the painting develops.

Within JChadima’s broader exploration of overlooked moments in the natural world, Mimosa de Paris Forsythia reflects his interest in finding unexpected beauty within ordinary surroundings. The painting transforms a brief encounter on a grey Parisian spring day into a luminous meditation on renewal, anticipation, and the quiet persistence of nature.

Ultimately, the work proposes that even the smallest interruption of colour can change the way a landscape is perceived. The solitary brilliance of the forsythia becomes a visual metaphor for spring itself—a moment when nature quietly announces that something new has begun.

JChadima est un peintre et photographe basé à Paris qui continue d’exposer à l’international.
Il est reconnu par le guide international des enchères « AKOUN » avec une cotation certifiée pour la vente de ses œuvres et des évaluations à la revente.

Il a développé ses compétences et sa créativité dès son plus plus jeune âge : JChadima expose et vend son travail depuis longtemps aux Etats-Unis.

Né aux USA, JChadima a fait ses études et a été diplômé à l'Université du Colorado. Son style unique et sa vision créative ont été nourris et se sont construits sur de solides bases qu'il doit à des artistes américains parmi les plus influents du début au milieu du siècle dernier, et à certains de leurs anciens étudiants. Quelques-uns de ses professeurs ont été élèves d'artistes comme Georgia O'Keeffe d'abord, mais aussi Alfred Stieglitz et Ansel Adams. Ils ont été directement impliqués et influents dans les racines artistiques de JChadima.

Utilisant son expertise en photographie, JChadima a développé la capacité d’observer les détails et de s'inspirer du monde qui l'entoure.

Que ce soit directement de la nature ou de la nature morte, des influences urbaines et environnementales ou historiques actuelles, les bases de ses peintures proviennent directement des impressions qu'il tire de sa photographie.

Un processus d'abstraction se produit en voyant au-delà des images et en analysant la ligne, la forme, les formes, les couleurs et les textures.

En utilisant ces aspects, une étude de palette hautement stylisée, graphique et colorée est produite, et ses œuvres prennent vie …

JChadima is a Paris based painter and photographer who continues to exhibit internationally.
He is recognized by the international auction guide "AKOUN" with a certified quotation for the sale of his work and resale evaluations.

Refining his skills and highly creativity from a very young age; JChadima has been exhibiting and selling his work from a very young age.

Born in the United States, JChadima was educated and hold several degrees from the University of Colorado. His unique style and creative vision was nurtured and constructed on a solid foundation with some of the most influential early to mid-century American artists and their former students. Artists like Alfred Stieglitz, Ansel Adams, Georgia O’Keeffe, Arthur Dove and others were directly involved and influential in contributing to JChadima’s artistic foundation.

Employing his expertise in photography JChadima developed the ability to discern and draw inspiration from the world around him. Either it be directly from nature or still life, urban and environmental or current historic influences, the bases of his paintings come directly from the impressions he derives from his photography. An abstraction process occurs seeing beyond the images and analysing line, form, shapes, colors, and textures. Utilizing these aspects, a highly stylized, graphic, colorful pallet study is produced, and the pieces of work come to life.
