About the artwork
SPRINGTIME IN PARIS 9
Within JChadima’s Springtime in Paris series, Springtime in Paris 9 represents a particularly refined movement toward abstraction, luminosity, and sensuality of form. While the series explores the seasonal emergence of botanical life through colour and enlarged natural forms, this painting moves beyond direct observation, reducing the flower to an intimate landscape of sweeping contours and overlapping planes.
In comparison with the more structurally defined works in the series, Springtime in Paris 9 is distinguished by its restrained palette and extraordinary softness. Pale lavender, luminous yellow, white, and delicate green appear to dissolve into one another, creating an atmosphere in which light seems to emanate from within the forms rather than simply illuminate their surfaces. The flower is no longer presented as an object to be observed; instead, the viewer is brought so close that petal, interior, and surrounding space become increasingly indistinguishable.
This compression of perspective gives the painting a distinctly sensual and corporeal presence. Curves fold into one another with a quiet intimacy, while the elongated green passage provides a structural counterpoint to the surrounding softness. As elsewhere in the Springtime in Paris series, JChadima draws upon botanical form as a point of departure, yet here representation yields almost completely to the rhythms of colour, light, curvature, and movement.
Springtime in Paris 9 therefore occupies a prominent place within the series: a work in which the recognizable language of the flower approaches pure abstraction. Its delicacy should not be mistaken for fragility; beneath the subdued palette lies a carefully controlled composition that transforms the experience of spring into a meditation on emergence, intimacy, renewal, and the sensuality inherent in organic form.

Interview by Karen Marin, Independent Editor Consulting Advisor for Essenencional and friend of the artist (Second part in French).
JChadima is an American painter and photographer living in Paris.
He developed his skills and creativity from a very young age: JChadima has been exhibiting and selling his work for a long time in the United States.
Born in the USA, JChadima studied and graduated from the University of Colorado. His unique style and creative vision were nurtured and built upon a solid foundation by some of the most influential American artists of the early to mid-century, and some of their former students. Some of his teachers were students of artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe first, but also Alfred Stieglitz and Ansel Adams. They were directly involved and influential in JChadima's artistic roots.
Using her expertise in photography, JChadima developed the ability to observe details and draw inspiration from the world around her.
Whether directly from nature or still life, from current urban and environmental or historical influences, the bases of his paintings come directly from the impressions he draws from his photography.
A process of abstraction occurs by seeing beyond images and analyzing line, shape, shapes, colors and textures.
This work produces a highly stylized, graphic and colorful palette, and his works come to life...
