SPRINGTIME IN PARIS 18

Springtime in Paris #18 develops the botanical language of the Springtime in Paris series through a restrained exploration of form, light, colour, and spatial rhythm. Drawing from the elegant structure of a delicate flower, JChadima transforms the observed botanical motif into an abstract composition in which petals, leaves, and stems become fluid fields of shape and movement.

The composition is articulated through soft whites, luminous greens, muted olive, and subtle greys. These restrained tones create an atmospheric palette in which colour functions less as description and more as a means of establishing light, depth, and visual balance. Lighter passages appear to emerge from the surrounding forms, creating a sense of luminosity and suggesting the gradual unfolding of the flower.

Rather than describing the botanical subject in literal terms, JChadima reduces it to its underlying visual structure. Overlapping forms intersect and dissolve, while sweeping contours and areas of negative space establish a delicate tension between presence and absence. The convergence of these forms toward the centre creates a subtle directional movement, encouraging the eye to travel through the composition rather than settle on a single focal point.

This movement between recognition and abstraction is central to the work. The flower remains perceptible as an underlying reference, yet its identity is deliberately softened as its individual components become relationships of line, shape, light, and space. In this process, the familiar botanical subject is transformed into a more contemplative visual experience.

Within the Springtime in Paris series, #18 represents a quieter and more meditative expression of JChadima's ongoing investigation into nature and abstraction. The work suggests that close observation can reveal an order within nature that extends beyond representation—an underlying language of organic geometry, rhythm, and light.

The painting ultimately invites the viewer to look slowly, allowing the image to shift between flower and abstraction, structure and atmosphere, recognition and interpretation.

A propos de l'artiste Jchadima

Interview by Karen Marin, Rédactrice indépendante Conseiller consultant pour Essenencional et amie de l'artiste (Deuxième partie en français).

JChadima est un peintre et photographe basé à Paris qui continue d’exposer à l’international.
Il est reconnu par le guide international des enchères « AKOUN » avec une cotation certifiée pour la vente de ses œuvres et des évaluations à la revente.

Il a développé ses compétences et sa créativité dès son plus plus jeune âge : JChadima expose et vend son travail depuis longtemps aux Etats-Unis.

Né aux USA, JChadima a fait ses études et a été diplômé à l'Université du Colorado. Son style unique et sa vision créative ont été nourris et se sont construits sur de solides bases qu'il doit à des artistes américains parmi les plus influents du début au milieu du siècle dernier, et à certains de leurs anciens étudiants. Quelques-uns de ses professeurs ont été élèves d'artistes comme Georgia O'Keeffe d'abord, mais aussi Alfred Stieglitz et Ansel Adams. Ils ont été directement impliqués et influents dans les racines artistiques de JChadima.

Utilisant son expertise en photographie, JChadima a développé la capacité d’observer les détails et de s'inspirer du monde qui l'entoure.

Que ce soit directement de la nature ou de la nature morte, des influences urbaines et environnementales ou historiques actuelles, les bases de ses peintures proviennent directement des impressions qu'il tire de sa photographie.

Un processus d'abstraction se produit en voyant au-delà des images et en analysant la ligne, la forme, les formes, les couleurs et les textures.

En utilisant ces aspects, une étude de palette hautement stylisée, graphique et colorée est produite, et ses œuvres prennent vie …

JChadima is a Paris based painter and photographer who continues to exhibit internationally.
He is recognized by the international auction guide "AKOUN" with a certified quotation for the sale of his work and resale evaluations.

Refining his skills and highly creativity from a very young age; JChadima has been exhibiting and selling his work from a very young age.

Born in the United States, JChadima was educated and hold several degrees from the University of Colorado. His unique style and creative vision was nurtured and constructed on a solid foundation with some of the most influential early to mid-century American artists and their former students. Artists like Alfred Stieglitz, Ansel Adams, Georgia O’Keeffe, Arthur Dove and others were directly involved and influential in contributing to JChadima’s artistic foundation.

Employing his expertise in photography JChadima developed the ability to discern and draw inspiration from the world around him. Either it be directly from nature or still life, urban and environmental or current historic influences, the bases of his paintings come directly from the impressions he derives from his photography. An abstraction process occurs seeing beyond the images and analysing line, form, shapes, colors, and textures. Utilizing these aspects, a highly stylized, graphic, colorful pallet study is produced, and the pieces of work come to life.
