My stage name is CADO...
a pseudonym that represents an intimate tribute to what I consider to be the most beautiful of gifts: LOVE.
Born from a play on words and sounds, CADO also carries meaning because it comes from the union of my first name, CARolina, and that of my husband, DOminique.

I am a naturalized French citizen but I was born in Italy in the 1970s.
My love for France quickly took its place in my life, leading me to university studies in French literature and language.

I then became a translator and foreign language trainer, but alongside this my passion for art, comics, art history, drawing and painting continued to nourish my existence.

Self-taught, I have been drawing and painting since childhood due to an innate desire to express my emotions.
Even today, my works are born without calculation: they spring from a vital and intuitive need, from an inner quest for harmony between forms, colors and emotions.

My artistic universe is rooted in two worlds that coexist and interact: abstraction, where color becomes guide and breath, and surrealist figurative art, where fluid forms take shape through symbols, dreams, and the unusual.

I paint as one dreams, as one loves: without method, but with heart and soul.

Each canvas is a window onto my inner world, a glimpse of the invisible.

I use oil, acrylic, charcoal, chalk, spatula, knives, brush – anything that allows me to make the canvas vibrate with sincerity and passion.
