About the artist Téona Gviné

Teona Gviné, self-taught painter, was born in the early 1990s in Georgia, during a period marked by the fall of the Soviet Union. This tumultuous time profoundly influenced his childhood as well as that of millions of people. Despite the challenges, Teona has always been driven by a passion for art. From a young age, she spent her days designing silhouettes, dresses and clothes, nurturing the dream of becoming a fashion designer.

Growing up, Teona also became interested in architecture, inspired by her older brother. However, at the decisive moment, she chose to pursue a career in a very technical and rigorous field: finance. This choice led her to France to continue her studies. After graduating, Teona began a ten-year career in the financial sector, where she enjoyed great success and lived in seven different countries, making her journey even more international and enriching.

However, during the lockdown in 2020, Teona realizes that she is missing something essential: a way to express her emotions. Feeling the need to reconnect with her youthful passion, she returned to painting after a break of more than ten years. This time, she turns to abstraction, seeking to create a world without strict rules, far from finances, but also from the conventions of traditional portraits and landscapes.

Through her abstract works, Teona finds freedom and balance between her technical world and her artistic world. His paintings, characterized by a vibrant mix of colors and shapes, primarily use the acrylic technique. This new artistic impulse allows him to fully blossom and find a new form of personal achievement.

Today, exhibitions in Paris, once a distant dream, are becoming a reality. Teona continues to explore and push the boundaries of her art, offering the public works that demonstrate her unique, international journey and free expression.
