About the artist Charles Lonjon

I'm a multi-faceted artist, born in 1964. My passion for art has always guided me, allowing me to flourish in different disciplines. I'm a painter, musician and lawyer, an eclectic mix that has shaped my artistic vision.

My artistic training at the Atelier Doré in St Cloud and as a student at the Beaux-arts in Paris have shaped my style, but my work is deeply influenced by the classical masters, surrealism and the lowbrow movement, with artists such as Marion Peck, Mark Rydden and Patrick Woodroffe.

I also draw inspiration from Central European painters Zdzislaw Beksinski, Wojtek Siudmak and Zdenek Burian, whose deeply onirical works stimulate my imagination.

Finally, I'm proud to be part of a dynamic and supportive artistic community.
