About the artist Glenn Gordon

Glenn Gordon's path as a professional artist began early. At twelve he started apprenticing with a professional artist, spending four years developing his skills and learning the discipline of the craft. By fifteen he had won the Northern Virginia State Art Fair in the Adult Division, an early recognition that set the course for the decades that followed. Today his focus is abstract painting, where colour and light take the lead. He builds each work through layers of colour, expressive brushstrokes and subtle transitions, creating surfaces that shift between depth, movement and intensity. His career has taken his work from Aspen, Malibu, Los Angeles, Missouri and Virginia to more recent exhibitions in New York City, Palm Beach and Paris. Through all these chapters, his interest in colour, light and the possibilities of abstraction has remained at the centre of the work.
