About the artist Brady Austin Rider

Brady Austin Rider is an oil painter born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, who now lives and works in Los Angeles, California. He pursued his passion for the visual arts at the University of Chicago and the Paris College of Art. His practice is characterised by captivating portraiture of the influential figures in his life. He begins by photographing his subjects, capturing their essence, before returning to the studio to infuse that energy through a psychedelic lens. Through a profound love of colour and a distinctive relationship with it, Rider brings his subjects to life and pushes at the boundaries of their aesthetic appeal. His paintings carry a romantic and dramatic allure, and he often describes each work as a love letter to its subject. His first solo exhibition took place in the heart of Paris in 2025, and he continues to collaborate with galleries there while working to expand his audience internationally.
