In Ora Solis, Florence Prigent-Humblot explores sunlight as a vital principle and a pictorial material in its own right. The work does not seek a figurative representation of the sun, but rather conveys its diffuse and vibrant presence, perceptible through color and texture. The composition seems to radiate from within, imbued with a palette of warm tones—ochres, golds, incandescent hues—that evoke warmth, energy, and the cycle of life.

The material, worked with sensitivity, gives the surface an almost organic dimension, inviting the viewer to a sensory and contemplative experience. Between abstraction and elemental evocation, the canvas reflects the artist's poetic approach, where nature and light become vehicles for emotion and meditation.

Ora Solis thus establishes itself as a work of inner resonance, celebrating the sun not as a motif, but as a universal symbol of life, rebirth, and primordial strength.

About the artist Florence Prigent-humblot

Florence Prigent-Humblot is a French painter born in Paris in 1973. Attracted to images and creation from a very early age, she studied at the School of Advertising, Press and Public Relations in Paris in the 1990s, before dedicating herself to painting, first for her personal pleasure and then professionally from the 2010s. Since then, she has exhibited regularly in France, notably in Honfleur and Paris, and has developed a unique artistic universe.

Her work is rooted in the tradition of Impressionism while also embracing a more contemporary dimension. Florence explores light and its transformations through landscapes, aquatic reflections, and botanical scenes where nature becomes almost abstract. Her canvases, rich in texture and color, reveal a profound sensitivity to the vibration of air, to transparencies, to the movement of water, and to shifting atmospheres.

The artist does not seek to represent nature realistically, but rather to capture its energy, poetry, and emotion. For her, color becomes a language, often intense, sometimes serene, that conveys her intimate vision of the world. This approach has led her to be described as an "almost abstract landscape painter," working on the boundary between figuration and suggestion.

Through her exhibitions, her pictorial world has captivated an audience charmed by the power of her compositions and the luminous softness that emanates from them. Today, Florence Prigent-Humblot continues her artistic journey, exploring ever more deeply the dialogue between nature, color, and light, remaining true to the reinvented Impressionist approach that characterizes her style.

Artistic approach
Florence Prigent-Humblot's painting is born from a constant exploration of light and the vibration of colors. Inspired by nature, she explores its metamorphoses: the reflecting water, the veiling air, the trembling leaves, revealing not a faithful image, but a sensitive impression.

Her paintings exist at the boundary between figuration and abstraction: the landscapes she suggests seem familiar, yet transform into inner visions dominated by color. The artist favors contrasts of light, transparencies, and layering of materials, aiming to capture the energy and emotion of the moment rather than its realistic reproduction.

In her work, each nuance becomes a language. Greens, yellows, and blues interact, creating vibrant atmospheres that invite the viewer to poetic contemplation. Her approach is rooted in the Impressionist tradition, but with a contemporary freedom that opens onto the imagination and personal sensibility of each individual.
