Just two years ago, in 2023, women continued to struggle for greater visibility in the art world. According to the Observatory for Equality between Women and Men in Culture and Communication, women’s works remained less visible, less acquired, and less programmed than those of men. Additionally, a study found that women artists represented 42% of very low visibility artists, 25% of medium visibility artists, and only 4% of very high visibility artists. These figures illustrate the persistent challenges women artists face in obtaining fair recognition for their work.

Today, more than ever, women artists occupy an essential place in the cultural landscape . In a world where inequalities persist, they assert themselves with strength and talent, claiming their place in the history of art and shaking up established norms.
