Safoura Aghighi is a Toronto-based realist artist whose passion for painting began in childhood, when she dreamed of becoming a professional artist. In 2011 she began her formal artistic journey in realism, studying painting and art history through specialised classes and workshops. Over the years she has continuously developed her technical skills and artistic vision, with a particular focus on observation, precision and the expressive beauty of the human subject. Today she works primarily within the tradition of realism, seeking to capture not only the physical appearance of her subjects but also their emotions, atmosphere and individual character. For her, painting is both a form of artistic expression and a lifelong journey of discovery. Her achievements include an Honorary Award from TERAVARNA in Los Angeles in 2023, recognition at the Geneva Art Olympic in Switzerland in 2024, and selection as a participating artist in the Almenara Art Exhibition in Spain in 2025. She took part in the winter exhibition at the Academy of Realist Art Toronto in 2026, and this year continues her international journey in Paris, presenting her work alongside artists from around the world.
